2-Hour Draft Champions Deadline: Tuesday, Sept. 1st

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Aug 20, 2020 8:37 am

It's hard to believe, but three weeks from today the NFL kicks off with the defending world champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football. That's ONLY 21 DAYS AWAY!!! :D

With that in mind, it's time to start the plan to move everything to nightly drafts. The "slow drafts" have been a rousing success this year as we are on a record pace for the NFFC Draft Champions formats and the NFFC Cutline Championship. All of these drafts are getting done quicker than in years past, and as a result, players are participating in more of them.

We can usually get these done in 7-10 days, but let's be proactive and make sure all of these get done in time. Let's set a deadline for the NFFC 4-Hour $25, $50, $150 and $400 Draft Champions leagues for next Friday, August 28th. We will take signups through that day and then shut those contests off. That will give everyone 14+ days to finish up. Plan accordingly.

We can go a little longer with the 2-Hour Draft Champions leagues, but will likely shut those off on Tuesday, Sept. 1st. That will give everyone 11+ days to finish those up.

The 4-Hour Cutline leagues will also have a Tuesday, Sept. 1st deadline and the 2-Hour leagues will have a Friday, Sept. 4th deadline. The 1-Hour leagues will also be shut off about 7 days before Sunday's games. Plan accordingly for all of these.

Right now there is no doubt that the Draft Champions National Championship will exceed expectations and we'll be adding more prize money to the overall prize pool. It's been a rousing success as we will soar past 200 leagues this year for the first time. Great job all and best of luck in the battle for the $25,000 grand prize and all of the other great prizes.

The NFFC $25 and $50 Draft Champions leagues are private leagues with only league prizes, but they are on pace to double the number of entries from past years. It's been a crazy, good year for that format as we fill up DC Express leagues almost every night. We'll keep those going right through Saturday, Sept. 12th.

The NFFC Cutline Championship is also on a record pace and we'd love to sell out this contest. Enjoy the various formats everyone and don't be left out with a $100,000 grand prize on the line. Good luck.

My current 4hr DC started Saturday morning, 4 days in and we finally finished rd 5. I may need to join one on 8/28 just to see if we beat this one to the finish line! :)

LAST CHANCE to jump into a 4-Hour $150 or $400 Draft Champions League as we really want to start all of these drafts today. Same with the Guillotine leagues if we can help it. Yes, we'll be patient and wait to fill these final available leagues into tomorrow if we have to, but we really want to get all of them started no later than tomorrow and finish them in the next 14 days.

All 4-Hour offerings, including the Cutline, $25s, $50s, will be closed off this weekend. It's time to move on and in some cases we still have 2-hour and 1-hour offerings. But more importantly, we have daily and nightly drafts for most of these contests and it's time to get busy there.

Thanks for a RECORD off-season of drafting in all of these contests and let's finish everything off during these last 16 days. The NFL season is going forward and it should be MUST WATCH TV during the Fall season as we all still shelter as much as possible. Enjoy the season everyone and good luck in all your leagues.

Now, LAST CALL FOR ALCOHOL -- I mean, 4-HOUR DRAFTS!!

Okay, it's been a good run, but it's time to start wrapping up the 2-Hour formats. Today is the deadline for the NFFC 2-Hour $150, $400, $25 and $50 Draft Champions Leagues. We need to shut off the 2-Hour Cutline Leagues by Thursday night or Friday morning as well and the next 2-Hour Guillotine Leagues will be the last ones.

It's been a record-breaking season for all of these formats and we're glad you had fun. But it's time to lock these formats out so that every league can be completed by Sunday morning, Sept. 13th. And every league will be done by then even if we have to move the clock forward.

Thanks all and good luck. We'll close these off as they fill and then host only 1-Hour formats and nightly drafts. We'll give the 1-Hour format another day and then we'll close those out, too. Enjoy.
